Yep!Moldova, an organization committed to fostering startup development and promoting entrepreneurial mindset, is partnering with Garage48, Europe's largest Hackathon organizer, to host the EdTech Bootcamp. This event is designed to revolutionize Moldova's educational landscape.
When? November 15 - 19, 2023
Where? A mix of online and offline meetings at Artcor Creative Industries Center, Chișinău, 31 August 1989 Street, 137.
EdTech Bootcamp, a joint initiative of the two organizations, represents a unique opportunity for anyone interested in transforming the educational sector in Moldova. The event will last for five days and will combine virtual sessions with offline meetings in Chișinău at Artcor Creative Industries Center.
The main goal of the event is to bring together people who want to make a change. This change can be at the level of a class, a school, a city, or a ministry. There are no minimum or maximum limits. There are no rules (except those of common sense). And the only requirement is to be related to the field of education. So, we expect a wide range of pitches, prototypes, perhaps an A4 sheet with artificial intelligence, maybe a method of studying the space without going there, maybe an application through which a teacher from Bălți can learn from a student in Cahul (and be evaluated by a robot from China).
Young people aged 18 and above, citizens of the Republic of Moldova, with at least a beginner level of English, and most importantly, the desire to bring positive changes to the Moldovan education system, are invited to participate. Ideas, teams, and/or specific technical knowledge are not mandatory. We're committed to connecting you with the best experts and mentors, both local and international, to offer full support throughout the event.
Some areas that can be explored for developing the idea are : virtual learning environments, accessibility to education, the creation of opportunities for lifelong learning, the development of VR/AR software, education in rural areas, and the use of gamification in educational processes.
EdTech Bootcamp will conclude with presentations of the products created by each team, and the best ones will receive prizes for further development.
